Our History — Court Forms Plus

A Family Tradition of Quality, Integrity, and Service Since 1990

Court Forms Plus was founded in 1990 by Janet Greenhow under the original name Paralegals Plus. From the beginning, Janet was dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate their legal document preparation needs by providing quality service at a reasonable cost.

On January 1, 2000, Senate Bill 1418 (SB 1418) took effect, establishing the designation of Legal Document Assistant (LDA) for individuals who meet California’s applicable requirements. In response to this change in the law, Janet changed the business name from Paralegals Plus to Court Forms Plus, reflecting the new terminology and the services the business provided.

In 1996, Brian Hollis joined the family business, initially working as a legal secretary and process server. Following the change in California law in 2000, Brian became a registered and bonded Legal Document Assistant.

In 1998, Debbie Hollis also joined the family business. She subsequently completed her required education and became a registered and bonded Legal Document Assistant, further strengthening the family’s commitment to providing dependable, professional service.

In 2023, Janet passed away at the age of 95, leaving behind a lasting legacy of dedication, hard work, and service to the community. Janet genuinely enjoyed working with the public and successfully operated Court Forms Plus for many years. Shortly before her passing, she entrusted the business to Brian and Debbie, who continue to uphold the standards of quality, integrity, and customer service that Janet established.

Today, Court Forms Plus remains committed to helping individuals and families prepare important legal documents accurately and affordably. Our services include trust and will preparation, divorce document assistance, Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) preparation, deed transfers, powers of attorney, and eviction-related services.

We understand that legal matters can be complicated, stressful, and expensive. Our goal is to make the document preparation process more accessible by offering a cost-effective alternative when attorney representation is not necessary.

Court Forms Plus is not a law firm, and we are not attorneys. As Legal Document Assistants, we provide document preparation services within the limits of California law. We cannot provide legal advice, recommend legal strategies, or determine which legal options are right for your individual circumstances.

For more than three decades, Court Forms Plus has been built on a simple principle: treat every client with respect, provide quality work, and deliver dependable service at a reasonable price.

We are proud to continue Janet Greenhow’s legacy and look forward to serving our community for years to come.
